Sky x house of the dragon
Client: Sky
Agency: Jack Morton
Working with Jack Morton on this campaign for Sky’s launch of ‘House of the Dragon’ was a great experience that involved several months of work in a diverse set of fields.
In addition to building creative and producing deliverables for screens in every Sky Store in the UK (with three ‘hero’ stores also having bespoke screen solutions), we also conceptualised and arranged production of thousands of unique premiums that were created specifically for this campaign. Tote bags, coffee mugs, keyrings - you name it, we probably arranged for ‘House of the Dragon’ branding to be printed / etched on it!
In addition to this, the Iron Throne itself was touring the UK, and at three separate locations we arranged for a photo experience to be present, which would guide users through the photo taking experience, and generate a unique QR code from which the user could share the treated image on social media to win a Sky Glass TV. For these sites there was also extensive print OOH created and installed, with accompanying brand ambassador presence.
The campaign was a huge success in terms of footfall and eyes on the show, which went on to be Sky Atlantic’s most watched season premiere to date - but for me the aspect I’m proudest of was being able to successfully coordinate so many disparate voices from the different companies involved, across multiple time zones, each with their own brand guidelines - and making sure that all parties were happy with the entirety of the campaign in advance of execution.
