SXSW x Mercury KX

Mercury KX are at the cutting-edge of contemporary electronic, instrumental and vocal experimentation - the music on this exciting label really has to be seen live to be appreciated.

However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, people were unable to do so, and many festivals were instead ticketed events online - such as SXSW. As such, we filmed live sets of four of Mercury KX’s top artists, and prepared them to be streamed online - the catch was that all four sets needed to be recorded within a very short window, with all four of these 25 minute sets filmed over a 72 hour period.

To complicate things, with each of the artists living on different continents these shoots at multiple locations around the world; Sebastian Plano & Lambert in Germany, and Sophie Hutchings and Luke Howard in Australia.

In addition to the sets for the online SXSW event, we also produced trailers, individual music videos for each track, stills packets, and a whole wealth of materials!
